I believe in signs. There are a lot of things in life that happen that I can not explain, and since I don’t believe in coincidences my life is a lot more fun than it would otherwise be. Today I was at the Cracker Barrel with Ms. Lee. We had finished our breakfast, and made our way to the porch to sit in the rockers as we always do on Tuesdays & Fridays.
I told Ms. Lee that today carried a double meaning for me because it would have been my paternal grandmother’s birthday, and it was also the 8th anniversary of my father’s passing. I explained to her that I like to believe that Dad’s mother came to take my dad home when it was time for him to leave this world. I shared stories of good memories, and precious moments of our time together in West Virginia.
Then over the speakers John Denver’s song Country Roads started to play. “Country Roads take me home to the place where I belong West Virginia, Mountain momma take me home country roads…” If you are a nonbeliever like Mr. G-uno I completely understand lol, but to the rest of my “Tribe” out there what a beautiful sign. 😉
P.S. Gratuitous Rex if your out there.. this one’s for you.
Yes! Yes! Yes!
My father comes through that way, too, especially. It’s always nice to hear from him.
Kindred spirits 😉 G-uno
